Abstracts:
The article discusses the methods of formation of names of medicinal plants in the Yakut language in terms of reflection of curative properties for diseases of genitourinary system in word semantics; reveals the lexical and semantic features of the Yakut medicinal plant names (phytonyms). As a result of analysis of the reflection of the curative properties of medicinal plants for diseases of genitourinary system in the inner form of the Yakut naming units, the authors revealed that many phynonyms actualize the way of designating which diseases or organ are intended for treatment. The paper presents the unique material on the use of medicinal plants «Bergenia», «Wormwood», «Knotgrass», «Rhodiola», «Parnassia» in traditional Yakut medicine for the treatment of genitourinary system diseases.
