Abstracts:
The paper gives the theoretical substantiation of ethnocultural values as the most important means of formation of ethnocultural competence at senior schoolchildren, compares the requirements of State Federal Educational Standard and the real practice of studying in the context of the general secondary education programme, presents the results of the survey on the attitude of senior pupils to the Chuvash language – and all these make the problem of formation of ethnocultural competence on the basis of studying the ethnic values rather actual.
