Abstracts:
The present article describes the dialectal features related to the so-called «insular dialects» of the Chuvash language. The research of the «insular dialects» was held in the field during the scientific expedition in the eastern districts of the Chuvash Republic. During this expedition there has been collected the dialectological material through direct observations of everyday speech of the local citizens and also through questioning. The authors present the newly revealed phonetic and grammar peculiarities of the Chuvash dialects on the basis of the Urmarsky mixed dialect.
