The article presents the theoretical aspects of the spiritual and moral formation of the individual on the basis of the pedagogical ideas of the conservative trend Orthodox representatives in the education and upbringing of the period under study; reveals the conditions under which the spiritual and moral formation of the rising generation takes place; considers the spirituality and morality in connection with pedagogy and religion as a specific concern in the upbringing of the younger generation.
