The article reveals the possibilities of formation of tolerance at students in the process of studying the special course «Ethics and psychology of family life» special course. As a result of studying of this course, students acquire the ability to interact in different situations in life, personal qualities which are necessary to develop one’s own model of a happy family, willingness of self-improvement, self-understanding, gaining experience, culture, system of values, habits, emotional samples  – all that meets the high level of tolerance. The results obtained prove the efficiency of the ways of implementation of the given process.
