Abstracts:
Currently the issues of professionalism of teachers are considered acute all over the world. In some countries special attention is paid to preparedness of young teachers to their professional activity. The authors of the paper analyze this problem basing on the data of a number of international and national studies conducted in different countries, as well as the programs of preparing teachers to professional activity, which allowed to identify strategies of how to prepare and support the professional development of new teachers in order to improve the quality of school education. The international experience of implementation of programs of adaptation of young teachers to the profession can be useful to improve the quality of national continuous pedagogical education.
