LEXICAL-SEMANTIC ADAPTATION OF THE PROTOTYPE IN CONTEMPORARY RUSSIAN LANGUAGE
This article summarizes some of the results of the research work devoted to the adaptive process of the indeclinable borrowed nouns in contemporary Russian language. The author studied the lexical-thematic group called «Trades» and the way such lexical units as «barista» and «tif(f)osi» are used in different sources. The results of the analysis of morphological and semantic adaptation at all linguistic levels showed the qualitative changes of the semantic structure of the prototype. Its orthographic and morphological variants show that these lexical units are not used with enough efficiency yet.
