The article is devoted to the methodological reflection on ethno-ontological aspects of nominative principles of the Bashkir toponymical system in the ethno-linguistic interpretation. It has been established that the presence of consonant combinations (-лт-, -мт-, -нт-, -рт-, -нк-, -ңҡ-) in the lexical and toponymical systems is one of the important sources in the study of the problems relating to the reconstruction of phonetic systems of the Turkic and other Altaic closely related language families. The fact that the spread of consonant combinations, the history of consonant combinations in connection with the ethnic history of Bashkir people provide the chance to determine not only the territorial limits, but also to reveal the methodological aspects of ethno-linguistic study in the ethno-ontological interpretation of toponymical system of the Ural-Volga region, Kazakhstan, Siberia and the North-East of the Russian Federation.
