Abstracts:
The article is devoted to studying the Mordovian lexical borrowings in the Chuvash language. There is no specific research on this subject in linguistics yet. Meanwhile, the functioning of the Chuvash words in the Mordovian languages is quite objectively and exhaustively developed problem. In this paper the author sets the Mordovian words in the Chuvash language space, among which there are ирçе ‘Erzya’, мăкшă ‘Moksha’, куйкăрăш ‘bird of happiness’, çеçпĕл ‘Pulmonaria’, аламине-саламине (?), ватра (?).
