The article considers the issues of creation of pedagogical conditions necessary for formation of professional competences at students in the learning process of Decorative and Applied Arts. Some of these conditions are scientific and methodical support of educational process, practice-based learning, participation of students in exhibitions, competitions and conferences, festivals and other various events dedicated to decorative arts and crafts, computerization and informatization of educational process, professional development and research activities of teachers.
