Abstracts:
The article presents comparative analysis of views of J. Dewey and I. Ya. Yakovlev on education. The authors revealed that the heritage of J. Dewey and I. Ya. Yakovlev has a number of com-mon ideas which are employed in modern education and upbringing. The major ideas are the explanation of the importance of labour nurturing in training of the younger generation, the involvement of traditions into educational process. Training and education must be based on the principle of life connection as one of the major principles of formation of multi-talented and creative personalities.
