Abstracts:
The article analyzes the precedent phenomena in the names of confectionary. The author gives a detailed classification of precedent phenomena, analyses the names of confectionary pointing out the sources of precedent phenomena in the names of confectionary and to the motives of its use in creation of commercial nominations and the role of promotion of specific confectionary items. The author also pays particular attention to value aspect of the meaning of the names of confectionery, namely candy, sweets, chocolate. The conclusion that was drawn is that the precedent phenomena have many factors, which make them attractive for using them in the names of confectionary.
