Abstracts:
This article analyzes the concept «nature» in the poetry of the Chuvash prominent chil-dren's writer Nikolay Izhendey. The paper based on the analysis of the poems included in «Chĕvĕlpi» («Schebetunya») book, and the ones published in the press, reveals the multifunctionality of the images of sun, rain, objects of flora and fauna. It shows the role of flowers in poetry written for children of pre-school and early school age. The author pays attention to educational functions and artistic features of the poet’s poems devoted to nature.
