Abstracts:
The article deals with the codification of names of elements of traditional Buryat costume in the aspect of mythology of the Buryats. This highlights some problems of the ethnogenesis and identifies some typological universals of languages unrelated to Buryat, and it also reveals the existence of old interlingual and interethnic contacts. The author assumes the existence of archaic and mythological units in the language that appeared in the lexical items, the origins of which can be related to the existence of a single ethno-linguistic community of the North Asian ethnic groups in the past.
