Abstracts:
In the first part of the article the author gives an overall typology of how Old Russian lexical items were borrowed in the Chuvash language. The author distinguishes four types according to the chronology of contacts and the languages involved. In the second part for the illustration of the latter type the author analyses the way the two Russian dialecticisms (pert ’bath; Karelian wooden hause’ and lub’jo ’soft bark’) were borrowed by the languages of the Volga-Kama area. The dialecticisms discussed came into the Chuvash language at the final stage of their “wandering”.
