Abstracts:

The article is devoted to the actual problem of modern higher education – training of foreign students in Russian universities. One of the main problems in this regard is not only mastering of the Russian language by foreign students as a spoken language, but also the understanding of the language as a means of expressing a certain national culture. This problem is particularly acute for foreign students at the faculties of Russian Philology, where language becomes both a means of learning and a future profession. The authors analyze and summarize the practical experience of their work with foreign students studying at the university in “Philology” degree program. The focus is on systematic classes, the purpose of which is to form foreign students’ language motivation for successful and high-quality mastering of the future profession. The article defines the priority directions of teaching foreign students to achieve the necessary result, discusses specific methods of interaction with students on the subject and suggests a systematic algorithm for working with foreign students as a condition for professionalizing the knowledge gained. Russian literature plays an essential role in this paradigm, which acts as an example of the use of the word and at the same time provides interdisciplinary, meta-subject and transdisciplinary connections in the systematic study of the modern Russian language.
