Abstracts:

The purpose of the article is to reveal the current aspects of the socio-cognitive approach to higher education from the standpoint of modern epistemology. It is shown that this approach is based on the idea of the dominant role of immersion of the individual in the reality of the surrounding world, its culture, in active social interaction and on the principles of human, natural, cultural, and social conformity. The methodology of the socio-cognitive approach includes ideas about the inseparability of personal and professional development, which is decisive for revealing the creative potential of the individual, for stimulating awareness in mastering tactics and strategies for cognition of the surrounding objective world. The article presents the results of the analysis of modern works on epistemology. Special attention is paid to the works on evolutionary epistemology, in which the ideas about the inseparability of the connection between cognition, cognitive evolution, and human biological evolution are argued, key features of human perception are determined, including the ability to form integrity and patterns. It is determined that epistemological research, which actively reveals the connections of science with the social world of the individual, expands the understanding of the true meanings of scientific research in the field of pedagogy. As a result, a conclusion was made about the unity of the conceptual positions of modern epistemology and the socio-cognitive approach, which not only connects the theory of society and the theory of consciousness, but also integrates theoretical positions into a holistic scientific picture of the world.
