Abstracts:

The main task of a teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language at a higher school is the formation of professional communicative competence. The article proposes a model of early introduction of the language of professional communication into the system of teaching foreign medical students. To do this, the concepts of discourse, medical discourse are analyzed, its basic characteristics are identified, which allows us to build a model of teaching professional communication in the right way, starting from the initial level of mastering the Russian language.

The article presents a means of implementing this learning model – a multimedia-type textbook in which multi-format content is organized. In addition to teaching language content, the manual includes a deep extralinguistic context as a key component of medical discourse. The concept of the manual, structure, thematic content, pedagogical tools included in its composition are described.

The use of the model of early introduction of the language of professional communication into the system of training of foreign medical students allowed to increase interest in the discipline studied, motivated students to study the Russian language, made it more conscious, optimized the learning process as a whole, increasing its effectiveness.
