Abstracts:

The article examines the ethnopedagogical heritage of G. N. Volkov; gives an assessment of his scientific activity; reveals the contribution of the scientist to the development of the conceptual and terminological apparatus of ethnopedagogy; characterizes the conceptual provisions substantiated by G. N. Volkov on the functional nature of ethnopedagogical knowledge. Their essential characteristics in the article allow us to determine the place and role of ethnopedagogy in the modern education system, to identify effective ways and means of its implementation.

The work analyzes the ethnopedagogical works of Gennady Nikandrovich Volkov, representing an extensive fund of historical and pedagogical knowledge, acquaintance with which makes it possible to get a broad idea of the scale of his creative heritage.

The subject of this research is G. N. Volkov’s ethnopedagogical ideas about the revival, preservation, development of ethnocultural traditions and values of peoples, as well as the humanistic orientation and innovative potential of the ethnopedagogical theory created by him. As a result of the study, it was found that the scientific works of G. N. Volkov contain the results of many years of experimental ethnopedagogical work, reflected in various theories: theory of ethnopedagogy, theory of ethnopedagogic education, theory of ethnopedagogic upbringing, theory of labor training of students, theory of culture, theory of design and modeling of ethnopedagogic systems, theory of personality-oriented ethnopedagogic education.
