This article investigates the Russian verb meaning “to be squeamish” which verbalizes concept “disgusting” from linguo-cultural point of view in comparison with Vietnamese. We focus on cognitive scripts (invariant and variant), lexical-semantic variants and highlight the linguo-cultural features of these units in Russian and Vietnamese. Research materials contain definition of these verbs in Russian, Vietnamese and Russian-Vietnamese dictionaries and contexts from website Russian National Corpus and other Internet sources. Researching the Russian verb, we highlight the subject, object, reason of squeamish behaviour; grammatical, semantic and stylistic features of this unit. Among the contexts from Internet sources, we underline contexts from Internet forums or containing opinions of Russian about squeamish behaviour.
