Abstracts:

The article is devoted to the study of fostering of ethnoculture at students of the regional university of culture and arts. The relevance of the study is due to its having been poorly developed and there being no integral pedagogically justified system of fostering of ethnoculture at students.

The article considers the author’s programme “My Ethnoworld” which presents the basic guidelines of fostering of ethnoculture at students when studying university and extracurricular subjects with the ethnic component; provides the definition of the concepts of ethnos, ethnoculture, ethnocultural values, ethnocultural education, fostering of ethnoculture. It shows that it is possible to foster ethnoculture at students in an integral pedagogical process of the regional university of culture and arts; reveals the educational potential of the regional component of the basic educational programmes, which expands the possibilities of fostering of ethnoculture at students; considers some extracurricular events held in terms of implementation of the programme (research-to-practice conferences, contests and festivals, projects, etc.); experimentally proved the effectiveness of the implementation of the author’s programme “My Ethnoworld” in the Chuvash State Institute of Culture and Arts. The experiment proved that after the implementation of the author’s programme “My Ethnoworld”, the level ethnoculture at students has significantly increased; the students have developed an ethnocultural worldview and an interest in folk arts.
