Abstracts:The article relevance is conditioned by the need to adjust the additional professional education of university lecturers. Modern conditions of professional activity require new approaches to professional development of lecturers in compliance with the requirements of flexibility, adaptability, relevance and even advance to their personal and professional characteristics. The author believes that modern requirements are best reflected by the characteristic lecturer competitiveness as a set of personal and professional abilities, needs, and motivation of the lecturer, which guarantee the result of their own pedagogical activity and demand for educational services on the market. The purpose of the article is to reveal the organizational and pedagogical conditions for university lecturer competitiveness developing in the framework of additional professional education. The author believes that the in-university advanced training of a lecturer will provide an opportunity for a more productive improvement of the vocational and personal qualities that the employer requires, and will determine the career growth of the lecturer, his or her «fitting» into the corporate environment of the university. Based on competent, environment and situational approaches, the author formulates the following organizational and pedagogical conditions for the professional development of university lecturers: implementation of the innovative potential of the university’s corporate environment; designing and supporting the career strategies of a university lecturer; development and implementation of individual modular programmes for the development of university lecturer competitiveness. The revealed organizational and pedagogical conditions allow to carry out the resource development of the in-university system of advanced training of pedagogical personnel and to carry out the professional development of the university lecturer within the framework of the work place (department) without interruption from professional activity.
