Abstracts:

In the light of the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard in the sphere of pupils’ mastering skills to independently implement, control, correct and critically evaluate their own learning activity, Secondary School № 14 of Irkutsk is conducting a pedagogical experiment to improve the preparation for the Unified State Exam in foreign languages by introducing self-assessment of Task 39, taking into consideration each pupil’s self-esteem. The first phase of the experiment preliminarily shows strong direct statistically valuable correlation between the level of self-esteem and the results of self-assessment of the letter by means of its comparison with the blank of assessment criteria.
