Abstracts:

The article uses various psycholinguistic methods to reveal the content of the basic value Freundschaft (friendship) in the German linguistic culture. The relevance of this study is determined, first of all, by the use of various mutually verifying research methods that allow us to most accurately determine the psychologically relevant content of the basic value under study. The study is based on the analysis of the data from two free associative experiments conducted by the author of the article with native speakers of German linguistic culture in 2019 and 2024. The age of the respondents ranged from 17 to 25 years. According to the conditions of the experiment, respondents had to respond to the proposed stimulus words with the first word that came to mind. One of the stimulus words was the word Freundschaft (friendship). The obtained results are verified by the method of subjective scaling, as well as a clarifying question. As a result, it was found that Freundschaft (friendship) is of high importance to the respondents. The associative field of the value Freundschaft (friendship) intersects with the associative fields of other values, which indicates a deep personal understanding of the value under study by the respondents. In addition, the data obtained indicate the relative stability of the basic value under study among the German respondents, which confirms the high index of value stability.
