German-language poetic discourse, love lyrics, love discourse, metaphor, epithet, anaphora

Based on the material of German-language lyrics, the article examines the key aspects of the philosophy of love within the framework of the main trends in the development of European culture in different historical epochs. The subject of the study is the axiological foundations of the concept of love, its understanding and evolution in German literature.

The importance of studying the phenomenon of love in poetic discourse is primarily due to the fact that love lyrics, being a special form of poetry celebrating love between two people, embodies a variety of socio-cultural models, accumulates and interprets human experience. Currently, the relevance of the study of this phenomenon is also due to a new understanding of love in the context of transformations of gender roles and relationships.

A comprehensive study of linguistic means and a comparative analysis of the love lyrics of the past and present make it possible to discover typical, universal features of the love poetic discourse as a personal attitude and subjective judgment of the author. At the same time, based on anthropological and axiological approaches, it is concluded that each historical and cultural epoch has its characteristic concepts of love, emphasizing the most significant aspects of human relationships. The analysis of linguistic stylistic and organizing techniques makes it possible to establish in the love poetic discourse the main poetic symbols and features of the linguistic expression of a particular stage of love: the beauty of the beloved in the eyes of the lyrical “I”, the road and the ribbon as a link during the period of falling in love, breathing and longing expectations during the period of relationships, action verbs to express passion.
