Name of article:
DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE THINKING AND INCREASE OF COGNITIVE ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS MAJORING IN PEDAGOGICS
The article is devoted to the possibility of developing creative thinking, cognitive activity of students majoring in pedagogics. The traditional system of education at the university does not fully take into account the individual characteristics of students. Motives are formed spontaneously, creative potential remains not in demand. For the intellectual and creative development of students, we need new technologies and methods of their development. The article defines creative thinking, cognitive activity, and considers the authors’ methodology for the development of creative thinking and cognitive activity among pedagogical university students. Increasing the complexity of creative tasks with contextual content, reducing the time to complete them, giving students the opportunity to apply their approach to solving the task – all this contributes to the development of creative thinking and cognitive activity. In turn, the development of creative thinking and cognitive activity of students contributes to increasing motivation to master their future professional activities.
During the pedagogical experiment, it was found that creative thinking and cognitive activity develop in the process of joint creative activity of the teacher and students, using active methods and pedagogical teaching techniques, establishing feedback and psychological and pedagogical support.
According to the results of the formative experiment, the authors of the study found that with the development of creative thinking and cognitive activity, the students of the experimental group also have a predominance of socially oriented motives for educational activities over personality-oriented ones.
The topic of further research may be the search for new methods and technologies for the development of creative thinking, cognitive activity, motivation in the learning process.
