Abstracts:

The scientific and practical conference has become an integral part of the extracurricular activities of pupils, since modern education sets the main task: it is important not only to form students’ knowledge, but also to develop thinking and to form children’s ability to creatively master various ways of practical activity. Students can find fulfilment and gain invaluable experience by turning to scientific research. Knowledge of foreign languages is very important in the current conditions of the modern world. A foreign language is required in almost any sphere of life, especially when applying for a job, so teachers need to give enough knowledge to their students.

This article is devoted to the organization of scientific and practical conferences in French classes in high school, which is considered by the authors as part of the educational process aimed at increasing motivation in learning French. The paper highlights the problems that arise when implementing scientific and practical conferences in the process of learning French, as well as the most effective methods of training students. The article presents the advantages of students’ participation in scientific and practical conferences, gives a detailed description of the process of preparing for a speech, defines its clear structure. The authors of the article provide a practical justification for the effectiveness of students’ participation in scientific and practical conferences in order to increase motivation to learn French.
