Abstracts:

The issues of changing memory and attention in students, when implementing the subject “Physical Culture and Sports” at the university, have not yet been studied properly enough. Poor balance of study and daily routine, including a healthy diet, sufficient physical exertion and prevention of overwork, leads to the signs of psychological stress in students. Compliance with these rules makes it possible to minimize the memory loss and distraction that inevitably occur with high mental loads.
The article traces the issues of relations and interactions of physical and mental functions of a person, where the optimally selected mode of motor activity leads to some changes in students’ abilities to assimilate a large amount of information and, in general, the ability to successfully study at a university.
The development of theoretical aspects of the problem of memory and attention changes, which unfolded in psychophysiology, theory and methodology of physical education, prompted the authors to study practical developments of Russian and foreign scientists related to this field.
The study includes an experiment conducted with the pedagogical university students before and after Physical Culture and Sports class to determine the degree of change in attention and memory. As a result of the experiment, there has been revealed a positive effect of moderate physical activity on the processes of attention and memory.
