| Abstracts: | This article analyzes the German texts on construction topics and reveals their lexical and syntactic features. The author studied the articles of Internet resources www.bauingenieur24.de, www.hausbauhelden24.de, www.db-bauzeitung.de, www.hausbau.de, www.redshift.autodesk.de aimed at professionals and non-professionals of the construction industry, using methods of observation, description and comparison. Based on the research, it was concluded that the construction texts of the modern German language are characterized by lexical and syntactic features such as the use of construction terms, adjectives formed with suffixes bar-, los-, reich, verbs with prefixes, technical abbreviations, anglicisms, common phrases consisting of nouns, participles and participial phrases, impersonal sentences, passive voice and its equivalents, clauses of purpose, relative and conditional sentences. Modern German texts in the construction industry do not have their own syntax. The difference from ordinary language lies in the preference and frequency of use of certain syntactic means.
