The article considers the ways and forms of manifestation of autobiographism in the works of M. Batchaev. He took up the unexplored area of Karachay fiction prose as before M. Batchaev there were practically no works which had autobiographical base. The task was complicated by the fact that he had to show objectively the tragedy of the Karachay people. In the story “The Sun Shines On Everyone...”, M. Batchaev addresses the topic of forced deportation of Karachay people to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This topic has been hushed up for a long time. M. Batchaev chooses an autobiographical form of narration where historical events and facts are told to the reader by a seven-year-old narrator. Such a technique made it possible for the writer to soften the accents and at the same time faithfully reproduce the tragic fate of his people. The interweaving of historical documentary material and biographical information of the hero-narrator made up the peculiarity of the autobiographism of the story “The Sun Shines On Everyone...” . Due to the insufficient study of the autobiographical prose of the Karachay writer, it seems necessary to study this aspect of his creative research. The results of the study are connected with the disclosure of the image of an autobiographical hero, psychologically and spiritually close to M. Batchaev. In the course of the study, autobiographism was revealed as the principle of depicting the world and man in Batchaev’s fiction world. His works are written in the form of memories of childhood, which are traditional for fiction and biographical prose. The creative research of M. Batchaev was creatively mastered by the writers of Karachay-Cherkessian peoples. The generalizations and conclusions made in the article can be employed in further research on the methods of autobiographism in the literatures of the North Caucasian peoples.
