Abstracts:
The article considers the organization of space and time in I. Turgenev short story «Ghosts»; emphasizes that the category of the fantastic plays a key role in this organization; notes that the category of the fantastic activates the psychological and fantastic types of time working within the chronotopes of night and sleep. The article proves that in the discussed short story there are the elements of the chronotope of the magic world, which, according to M. Bakhtin, go back to the chivalrous novel.
