Name of article:
ANIMALISTIC PHRASEOLOGY IN RUSSIAN, UKRAINIAN AND TURKMEN LANGUAGES
Keywords:
phraseological unit, animalism, Russian, Ukrainian and Turkmen languages, cross-cultural communication.
Abstracts:
The article deals with comparative analysis of the Russian, Ukrainian and Turkmen phraseological units that contain a noun with the meaning of a species of an animal or an adjective derived from the name of an animal. The authors consider different types of phraseological equivalents, analogues and non-equivalent units of the compared languages. They are international, universal for the compared languages, borrowed from widely known sources (Latinisms, aphorisms, etc.) and others that have a unique cultural meaning for an individual nation (folklore, precedent texts, proverbs).
