Abstracts:
The article deals with the Bacchic verbs and the images reflected in them, which interpret the action of drinking alcohol. Actions, designated by the verbs of drinking, conditionally divided into three groups, fixing the stage of action: the preparatory stage; the implementation of the action; the final phase. The inner form of the Bacchic verb is interpreted metaphorically. Different areas such as perceptual and mental, household, professional, etc. are used in describing quantitative and qualitative cha-racteristics of the action.
