Abstracts:
The article considers the prepositions «in spite of», «by contrast», «contrary to» in the linguocognitive aspect in the Chuvash school. The author conducted the study together with the senior schoolchildren. When preparing for the scientific and practical conference, the pupils revealed the specifics of the function of these prepositions in modern Russian and the difficulties that the Chuvash native speakers face when studying these prepositions. In the course of the study, the author established the varieties of the presentation of meaning, the etymology of these causal prepositions, the peculiarities of the expression of these meanings in the Chuvash language.
