Name of article:
TRANSLATION OF AUTHOR NEOLOGISMS IN LITERARY TEXTS
The article considers the problem of author neologisms; dwells on the concept «author neologism» (occasionalism); explains the difference between author neologisms and neologisms; gives the translation techniques of author neologisms adopted in the translation theory. When relevantly translating author neologisms, a translator is to define the meaning of the neologism (by means of dictionaries, context, the structure of a new word), then to choose the best translation technique or the combination of translation techniques. It is essential for a translator to some the decent extralinguistic background to adequately translate author neologisms.
