Abstracts:
The article considers the brief history of the creation of the documentary «Life Work» at the Moscow Film Studio «Tsentrnauchfilm». This documentary runs about the milestones of life and oeuvre of the outstanding Chuvash teacher and educator Ivan Yakovlev. It reveals the stages of making the film: the development of the conception and the script, studying and shooting archival and museum materials in the cities of Cheboksary, Ulyanovsk, Kazan, Leningrad and Moscow, location filming in the village of Khoshky-Novotimbaevo, in Alatyr, the place where Ivan Yakovlev worked as a land-surveyor. The article stresses the educational aspect of the film and that it could be of use in the vocational training of teachers.
