Abstracts:
The article is devoted to a complex analysis of «Snow in Venice» short story by Dina Rubina. It shows that the key characteristic contributing to the creation of a peculiar author’s style is employing coloratives in the text. The adjectives containing color component reflect the author’s world-view, and the color spectrum reflects the author’s perception of reality. Pictorial art images play an important part in creating a visual piece of the artistic world in the short stories collection «Windows», which is the result of collaboration of the artist and writer. The employment of complex structured color-denoting units demonstrates the author’s intention to describe a subject matter thoroughly and to pay special attention to detail.
