Abstracts:

As a result of the linguistic contact of various ethnic groups within a certain territory, the facts of languages get «fixed» in the language, in particular, in toponymic names. There are some examples in the substrate toponymy of Eastern Transbaikalia to illustrate transference and interference linguistic processes arising under conditions of prolonged contact of the peoples and tribes living in the area. The ethnolinguistic shifts (in consciousness and languages) contributed to the fact that the changes of geographical proper names, containing a substrate geographical term, have passed the stages of phonetic, morphological, semantic adaptation in accordance with the norms of the accepting language (Russian).
