Abstracts:

It is established that the functional hemispheric asymmetry is a factor of Russian-speaking students’ ability to effectively master English. The article reveals the peculiarities of the functional state of the brain associated with the advantage in mastering the English language: the high speed of the right and left hemispheres takes place along with the decrease in the stability indicators for the left hemisphere only, while the initial hemispheric asymmetry does not affect the effectiveness in mastering English for successful Linguistics students.
