Abstracts:
In the context of modern conditions of the democratization of a law-governed state and the development of civil society in Russia, new geopolitical realities and time challenges, there is the need for civil education for schoolchildren and forming their civil competence that dramatically increases. The article reveals the essence of the concept «civil education», «civil competence» in regard to senior schoolchildren; provides the content of civil education, civil competence; considers the system of its formation; gives the characteristics of its components: purpose and objectives, factors, content, forms, methods, means, results of formation of civil competence at senior schoolchildren.
