Abstracts:
The article analyzes the non-indigenous line of the Russian ethnographic school, sets its content and poetic originality and origin. The non-indigenous line for the development of the literary process of the 19th century appears as a typological commonality in components of such constants as the non-Russian character, the Volga mythopoetic tradition, ethnography as Christian mythological and universal spiritual experience of national life, not Russian folklore. The non-Russian ethnographic line is manifested in specific modifications of travel essay – «The Voyage down the Volga».
