The subject of consideration in the present article is the olfactory image of the man in the context of the romantic intersexual relations treated as expression of tender feelings to each other; analyzes some text fragments of literary works describing emotional attachment and love between the man and the woman; considers the issues of language expression of erotic, aggressive and estimated characteristics of a smell of the man, reveals some specific features of the use of the lexemes for expressing olfactory feelings.
