Abstracts:
The article analyzes the works of the Russian and Chuvash writers of the 19th –20th centuries: A. P. Chekhov, I. A. Bunin, A. S. Artemyev. The relation of the names of different writers is not accidental. It is conditioned by the fact that the concept «garden» is a significant component of the structure of the works considered. This concept provides some new layers of meaning in the interpretation of these works. The paper identifies some specific features and originality of the concept «garden» by means of which the picture of the world is formed and the author’s viewpoint is elaborated.
