Abstracts:
The article is devoted to studying the key concepts of the founder of ethnopedagogics, G. N. Volkov. Special attention is paid to such concepts as «mother», «education» and «pedagogics»; points out their mutually conditioning character and relation to сosmocentrism and homecentrism of the Chuvash people. Сosmocentrism determines the interaction with nature, the universe. Homecentrism marks a valuable dominant of the Chuvash culture such as home and homeland. The image of mother is associated with the idea of time in the Chuvash culture.
