| Abstracts: | This article analyzes the works of the Russian and Chuvash writers and poets: A. Artemyev, A. Emelyanov, B. Zaytsev, A. Chekhov, E. Lisina, D. Samoylov, S. Esenin. The concept «bread» unites these works. This aspect of the research appears to be relevant in terms of both historical and literary approach, and in terms of the practice of analysis of the considered works: «Bread» by E. Lisina «Bread, People, Earth» by B. Zaytsev, «Cossack» by A. Chekhov, «Bread» by D. Samoylov, «Value of Bread» by A. Artemyev, «Tsivil Freshet» by A. Emelyanov, «God testing people on love» by S. Esenin. The article reveals the variety of the semantic concept «bread» in its national, Christian, mythological, poetic expression.
