Abstracts:
This article discusses the changes in the semantic structure of the Russian borrowings in the subdialects of the middle dialect of the Tatar language. The author investigated the lexical units recorded in dialectological dictionaries of the Tatar language, and lexical material collected during the field research. The study showed that the vast majority of the Russian words have undergone semantic transformation: a qualitative change of values, narrowing or extension of the semantic scope. Significant differences in the meanings of the borrowings and their prototypes can be conditioned by spontaneous, unregulated nature of the Russian borrowings in the subdialects the middle dialect.
