Abstracts:
This article is devoted to the problem solution of non-standard problems by primary schoolchildren; pays particular attention to the training of children in terms of the ability to solve non-standard problems. The authors suggest that the interest in mathematics should be aroused in a number of ways: by giving children the problems with a fairy tale plot, or with a non-standard formulation, or with colorful elements in the problem, or with unexpected results, that is, by constantly expanding the range of problems and increasing their complexity. Pupils’ enthusiasm can also be encouraged by their successful participation in various thematic contests or olympiads, which are the part of well-organized, well-thought-out lessons based on the teacher’s extensive toolkit.
