The article deals with the formation and development of flexible creative thinking in senior schoolchildren; clarifies the concepts of creativity and mathematical creativity; identifies the main directions of development of mathematical creativity and creative abilities of schoolchildren in studying the course of mathematics. The author reveals the role of problems with incomplete conditions, problems with redundant conditions, and the development of flexible thinking in pupils, on the basis of theoretical analysis and practical experience.
